This webpage is a 25 part exploration of the poem Caged Bird by Maya Angelou which grows in expressive detail with each level. As the HTML and CSS coding parameters expand (typographic size, typefaces, effects, additional shapes, and color) a new interpretation of the poem surfaces. As the freedom and variety of the layout continues to expand, it creates an impactful juxtaposition with the contextual message of sadness, isolation, entrapment, and helplessness.
