Featured as a special in honor of the Scottish St. Andrew’s Day, this Art Nouveau styled stamp utilizes mostly square shapes with a green and blue color pallet. This serves as a reference to the traditional Scottish tartan cloth or plaid on the kilts. Featured in the center are two purple thistles, Scotland’s national flower. The linear patterns beside the thistles continue to provide movement throughout the piece while also adding to the stained-glass effect just as Charles Rennie Mackintosh often used.
